Highland girls open year with win over Winfield
The Highland girls? basketball team started their season off on the right foot on Tuesday night.

The Highland girls? basketball team started their season off on the right foot on Tuesday night.
A strong performance from multiple girls left the Huskies on the right end of a 53-21 final score over Winfield-Mt. Union, as Highland moved to 1-0 on the year and in conference play.
Highland senior Cheyann Adamson finished tied for the team lead with 15 points, including 6-of-8 shooting from the free-throw line, and four steals.
Junior Kelsey Hora also pitched in 15 points to go with seven rebounds, while freshman Ali Stokes had 10 points, seven rebounds and four assists for the Huskies as well.
Highland will look to keep the positive momentum going against Cardinal, as the Huskies will host the Comets on Tuesday, Dec. 1 in a girls?-boys? doubleheader.
