MEDIAPOLIS — Four area teams entered the Southeast Iowa Super Conference tournament this week, and one will be playing in the semifinals on Friday night.
Highland pulled off the only upset of the first round, beating Hillcrest Academy 3-2 in overtime.
The Huskies had to rally from a 2-0 deficit, scoring twice in the second half to tie things up and winning the game on their third-straight goal.
The Huskies will now play Mediapolis after the Bulldogs knocked out WACO. Second-seeded Mediapolis eliminated the seventh-seeded Warriors 3-0.
Highland’s game will be at 5 p.m., at Central Lee on Friday night. After that game, Central Lee will take on top-seeded Notre Dame.
The winner of Friday night’s games will play in the SEISC championship game at Central Lee on Saturday at 10 a.m.
