Highland rallies to win at WACO

Highland trailed by six points heading into the fourth quarter of Friday?s Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division game at WACO, but the Huskies rallied in the final eight minutes for a 55-46 win.

Highland (10-5, 9-5 SEISC North) out-scored the Warriors 21-6 in the final frame.

Senior Talon McFarland scored a game-high 18 points to lead the Huskies, and he also had seven steals and four rebounds in the contest. Senior Jake Hoootman and junior Josh Brase added 13 points apiece, and Hootman grabbed eight rebounds. Senior Trent Megchelsen chipped in nine points.

Senior Aaron Barnhart scored 16 points to lead the Warriors (5-10, 5-8 SEISC North), and he also pulled down eight rebounds. Senior Tyler Ayers added 14 points, five rebounds and four assists, and junior Parker Ferguson had eight points to go with 11 rebounds.
