Highland softball team falls at Eddyville
The Highland Huskies softball team could not get past the Eddyville Rockets Saturday, July 8, as they were shut out 0-10, ending their season.
It was close the first two innings as neither team scored, but Eddyville broke through in the third as they put up three runs to take the lead.

It was close the first two innings as neither team scored, but Eddyville broke through in the third as they put up three runs to take the lead.
They added two more in the fourth and two in the fifth, putting the score at 7-0.
The final three runs came in the sixth, handing the loss to Highland.
Megan Hoenig pitched 4 1/3 innings for the Huskies, getting the loss.
She gave up seven runs on seven hits while striking out one. Brylee Carolan pitched for one inning and gave up three runs on four hits while walking four.
The loss ends Highland?s chances at making an appearance in the state tournament.
They end their season with a 21-8 record.
