Highland built a 47-33 lead after three quarters and went on to defeat visiting Pekin 57-44 in a Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division contest on Friday night.
Senior Paige Wieland and sophomore Chelsey Lampe scored 10 points apiece to lead the Huskies (6-3, 5-3 SEISC North). Wieland also had eight steals, four assists and four rebounds in the game, and Lampe had six steals, three assists and three boards. Senior Kassie Vazquez added eight points, four rebounds and three assists, and sophomore Samantha Dutton had eight points and five rebounds.
