LONE TREE - The Highland High School girls track team won Monday's track meet. WACO was third, Iowa Mennonite seventh and Keota 10th.
In the boys, WACO was fourth, Highland fifth, Keota sixth, Columbus tied for seventh and IMS was ninth.
IMS' Suzanna Yoder scored 30 of her team's 31 points. Yoder won the 100 and 200-meter dashes in personal-best times of 13.17 and 27.57 seconds. Yoder also won the 400 meter dash in a season best time of 1:02.41 finishing four seconds ahead of her nearest competitor.
'Suzanna has been competing in these races her entire high school career, so it's fantastic to see her be at her best right now,” IMS coach Martin Gingerich said.
