WAPELLO — Hillcrest Academy boys golf is heading to the 1A Iowa High School State Golf Championships after placing first at Heritage Oaks Golf and Country Club in Wapello on Tuesday.
The Ravens finished third as a team with a final score of 346.
Hillcrest Academy was led by Liam Schrock, who was the individual champion with a 75. Teammate Rowen Miller was right behind with 79. Ethan Yoder carded a 95 and Lawson Schrock had a 97. Mathew Cahlupa and Rylan Good both finished with 100s.
The Ravens will head up to South Hills Golf Course in Waterloo for the 1A Iowa High School State Golf Championships on May 27-28.
Winfield-Mt. Union and Keota also took part in the district final. The Wolves’ Max Edwards shot an 82. Cody Milks had a 91. Justin Knipfer and Grant Anderson both had 92s and Sinjin Brown a 95.
For Keota, Brennan McGuire had an 84. Porter Cave notched an 86. Tucker Sprouse had a 91 and Billie Kindred a 92.
