Hillcrest edged by Lone Tree in volleyball

LONE TREE — Hillcrest lost a Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division volleyball match 3-2 to Lone Tree Thursday.
The Ravens rallied but fell to the Lions 25-21, 25-22, 21-25, 18-25, 15-9.
Norah Yoder put up 24 assists for the Ravens. Esther Hughes connected on 11 kills, Malia Yoder eight and Vlada Conea six.
Evelyn Gerber had 17 digs, Malia Yoder 14 and Norah Yoder 10. Hillcrest’s defense got two blocks apiece from Hughes, Nora Yoder, Malia Yoder and Kylee Statler. The Yoders combined for seven aces.
Hillcrest is 0-6 and plays Louisa-Muscatine Tuesday at Kalona.
