With the unfortunate accident that occurred last weekend involving Van Buren senior student-athlete Annalyssa Noll, the community has come together to help raise money to assist in her recovery.
*Prayers for Annalyssa t-shirts are being sold with all proceeds going to her parents Jason and Megan Noll of rural Keosauqua. The shirts are $25 and checks should be made out to Neebz Graphix, questions can be directed to Taylor Thornsberry (641-777-4866) or Jessica Rodibaugh (319-288-0794).
* A candle light vigil is scheduled for 8 p.m. Monday at the Van Buren softball field.
* A benefit dinner is scheduled for May 25 at HelMart in Farmington with a free will dinner beginning at 5 p.m. with an auction to follow at 7:30. All funds collected will go directly to the Noll family. If you would like to donate salads, desserts or your time for the event contact Karoline Thornsberry (641-680-0086), Kari Troutman (319-201-0194) or Allison Tedrow (641-777-9635).
* Donation buckets are being placed around the area at businesses that include but will not be limited to: Jet Stop in Birmingham, Bonaparte and Milton, Farmington Legion, Circle B, Misty's Malt Shop, Libertyville Savings Bank in Keosauqua, 1st Iowa State Bank, Riverview Club, Lee's Pharmacy, Riverbend, First Street Grille, Wasko Hardware, Picture Perfect Salon in Fairfield and Julie's Riverfront Cut and Curl.
