Hurricane Swim Team to hold open house
The Fairfield Park and Recreation Department will be offering a competitive youth swim team program.
The ?Hurricane Swim Team? will be swimming as part of the Ottumwa YMCA team, which is coached by Heather Simplot of Ottumwa. Assistant coaches will be Jane McMahon, Erin Cracker and Dana Conilogue.

The Fairfield Park and Recreation Department will be offering a competitive youth swim team program.
The ?Hurricane Swim Team? will be swimming as part of the Ottumwa YMCA team, which is coached by Heather Simplot of Ottumwa. Assistant coaches will be Jane McMahon, Erin Cracker and Dana Conilogue.
Swimmers will practice at the Roosevelt Aquatic Center. Practice is on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting on Nov. 12. Children 10 and under will practice from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., while children 11 and older will practice from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
There will be an open house on Monday from 4-6 p.m. at the Roosevelt Recreation Center?s racquetball courts where registration will be held.
There is an $190 fee, however this fee includes the YMCA membership and a pass to the Roosevelt Aquatic Center.
