Huskies blank Central Lee
Highland picked up its first win of the season on Friday night, blanking Central Lee 35-0.
Senior Trey Brenneman ran for 156 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries for the Huskies (1-1). Junior Jesse Hootman added 53 yards and a score on 12 carries, and senior Bradlee Lucas ran for 50 yards and a touchdown on 17 attempts. Junior Kody Wood also threw a 26-yard touchdown pass to senior Jake Tate in the contest.

The Hawks (0-2) passed for 359 yards in their first game of the season, but Highland held them to just 76 yards through the air. Brenneman led the Husky defense with eight tackles, and senior Brad Lampe intercepted a pass.
