Huskies compete at Aamodt Relays

MEDIAPOLIS - Highland High School's girls and boys track teams competed at the Dave Aamodt Relays Tuesday.
Highland's girls finished sixth in the seven-team meet.
Emily Yahnke won the long jump with a distance of 17 feet, 2.5 inches and Aly Stokes was fifth at 16 feet. The Huskies' 4x100 meter relay was second in 52.64. The distance medley was second in 5 minutes, 4.38 seconds. The 4x2 was second in 1:54.21. The 4x8 was third in 11:56.4.Alli Brand was third in the 3000 in 13:21.86. Madi Thomann was fourth in the 1500 in 5:47.7. The 4x4 was fourth in 5:04.81. Jalynn Brown was fifth in the 400 hurdles in 1:30.28. Yahnke was fith in the 100 in 13.47. Alyssa Clarke was sixth in the 800 in 2:53.97.
Highland's boys placed seventh.
Highland was second in the 4x2 with a time of 1:38.46.Kadin Jepsen was fourth in the 100 in 11.67. The sprint medley was fourth in 1:44.73. Connor Grinstead was fourth in the long jump at 18-7.75.
