Huskies fall to Iowa Valley

Iowa Valley senior John Gormley rushed for 103 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Tigers to a 26-20 win at Highland on Friday night.
The Tigers (2-0) also scored when senior Austin Roberts returned an interception 49 yards for a touchdown.
Junior quarterback Kody Wood completed 18 of his 26 passes for 119 yards and two touchdowns for the Huskies (0-1). Both of his touchdown passes went to senior Talon McFarland, who made four receptions for 33 yards in the contest.
Senior Bradlee Lucas rushed for 67 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries, and he also made a 40-yard reception. Senior Trey Brenneman ran for 73 yards on eight carries, and he also made a team-high 10 tackles on defense.
