Huskies off to a good start

On Tuesday, Nov. 29, Highland played Columbus Junction at home.
Freshmen Zach Lasek started his playing career in a big way, scoring 18 points, and had six rebounds.
?Zach as a freshmen is maturing and getting to know his role on the court,? head basketball coach Marcus Hall said.
Newcomer and senior Arnold Spencer followed Lasek with 10 points and six rebounds.
?I was really impressed with him,? Hall said. ?He did what a good bench player does, comes off the bench and provided stable minutes in the game.?
Senior Bryce Clark also scored 10 points and had five rebounds.
Jake Wood, and Trent Lasek, both seniors, scored eight points for the team.
Sophomore Trey Lasek also scored eight points and had two rebounds.
Highland 62 Winfield-Mt. Union 42
Trent Lasek would be the high scorer for this game. He had 17 points, six rebounds and four steals for the team.
His brother, Zach, would follow with 13 points and three blocks.
Senior Bill Burton scored seven points, had three steals and two blocks.
Sophomore Trey Lasek also scored seven points, had three assists and one block.
Highland?s next game will be against IMS at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 6, at home.
