Huskies win at Pekin for fifth straight
Surging Highland went on the road and defeated Pekin 59-53 on Friday night for its sixth straight win.

The Huskies (12-5, 10-5 SEISC North) built a 46-28 halftime lead and then held off the Panthers in the fourth quarter.
Senior Jake Hootman scored a game-high 25 points to lead Highland, and he also had 10 rebounds, three blocks and three steals in the contest. Senior Talon McFarland added 16 points, and junior Josh Brase had 11 points and five assists.
Junior Cade Millikin scored 20 points to lead Pekin (10-7, 10-7 SEISC North), which lost its third straight game. Junior Brody Long added 12 points.
