BETTENDORF — Fairfield’s IDE Gymnastics participated in the first United States Tumbling and Trampoline (USTA) competition of the season in Bettendorf on Monday. The theme was Tumble into Fall with 15 teams form Iowa and Illinois.
IDE Gymnastics took five athletes and came home with three first places which included Ashlynn Adrian in the Intermediate level 11-year-old on Trampoline, Reagan Wise in the Beginner level 10-year-old on Power Tumbling and Riley Lathrop in Novice level 9-year-old on Double Mini Trampoline.
In second place was Ashley Lyons at the Sub-Novice 12-year-old level in Power Tumbling. Kamryn Tharp brought home two 3rd places in both Trampoline and Double Mini Trampoline in the Beginner 8-year-old level.
All but two of IDE’s awards were in the Top-5, an impressive feat for a squad that competed in 15 events.
“We’re off to a good start for the 20-21 season and looking forward to our annual AAU competition coming up next,” said coach Jeanne Ide.
