Wildcats eke out win

COLUMBUS JUNCTION — The Wildcats won a 3-2 match over Central Lee (4-7) Tuesday.

Juvixa Valdez scored twice for Columbus (6-3). Abby Acosta notched the other tally. Alynna Lenos made 10 saves.

The Wildcats host Wapello Tuesday.

Baker scores hat trick

WELLMAN — Sophia Baker scored three goals and had an assist for Mid-Prairie (8-5) Tuesday against West Liberty (3-5) in a 7-0 win.

Kina Miller and Esther Hughes netted two goals apiece for the other Golden Hawk scores. Katrina Curtiss had an assist.

Mid-Prairie plays at West Branch (3-6) Friday.
