IGHSAU releases 2nd rankings of 2021 soccer

The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union has released its second set of soccer rankings for the 2021 season.

River Valley conference member Iowa City Regina is ninth in Class 1A. Mid-Prairie (5-2) plays the Regals (4-2) Tuesday in Iowa City.

Regina has the No. 3 goal scorer in 1A with Grace Gaarde’s 16 but Mid-Prairie’s Esther Hughes is seventh with 13 goals. Each have three assists. Gaarde has 37 shots on goal, Hughes 35.

Super Conference member Notre Dame/West Burlington is 15th in 2A.
