IMS drops season-opener to Mediapolis
The IMS softball team struggled to get the bats going in its season-opener on Monday night, falling to visiting Mediapolis 3-0.
After four strong defensive innings by IMS, the Bullettes broke through with two runs in the fourth inning, and they added a third run in the seventh. Meanwhile, IMS was limited to just five hits on the night.

The IMS softball team struggled to get the bats going in its season-opener on Monday night, falling to visiting Mediapolis 3-0.
After four strong defensive innings by IMS, the Bullettes broke through with two runs in the fourth inning, and they added a third run in the seventh. Meanwhile, IMS was limited to just five hits on the night.
Senior Laura Hochstetler went 2-for-3 at the plate with a double to lead IMS. Junior Jacayla Litwiller also hit a double, while senior Naomi Miller and sophomore Hannah Miller both chipped in a single.
Hochstetler had a strong pitching performance, allowing just five hits while striking out nine Bullettes.
