IMS falls in SEISC tourney quarterfinals
Second-ranked Holy Trinity swept IMS by scores of 25-20 and 25-12 in the quarterfinals of the Southeast Iowa Super Conference volleyball tournament, which was held at Southeastern Community College on Saturday.
Junior Olivia Yutzy spiked down seven kills to lead IMS (11-11) in the match, while senior Laura Hochstetler and junior Casey Perez added three apiece. Perez also dished out 10 assists.

Second-ranked Holy Trinity swept IMS by scores of 25-20 and 25-12 in the quarterfinals of the Southeast Iowa Super Conference volleyball tournament, which was held at Southeastern Community College on Saturday.
Junior Olivia Yutzy spiked down seven kills to lead IMS (11-11) in the match, while senior Laura Hochstetler and junior Casey Perez added three apiece. Perez also dished out 10 assists.
Junior Kristin Davis had a team-high 15 digs in the match, and Yutzy had 10. Hochstetler added eight digs, and Perez had six.
IMS went 3-1 in pool play on Thursday to earn a spot in Saturday?s tournament. Although top-ranked Mediapolis swept IMS by scores of 21-6 and 21-14, IMS won its other three matches on Thursday. IMS swept Central Lee by scores of 21-18 and 21-18, swept Lone Tree by scores of 21-15 and 21-17, and swept the host Warriors by scores of 21-10 and 21-17.
Yutzy had 26 kills to lead IMS on Thursday night, and Hochstetler added 15. Perez had 11 kills to go with 32 assists.
Perez served 10 aces on the night, and Hochstetler added six.
Perez also had a team-high 41 digs in pool play. Davis added 22 digs, and Hochstetler had 17.
