IMS names new volleyball coach

In a press release from Iowa Mennonite School, a new head volleyball coach has been named to replace Shannon Miller.
Tanna Boshart has been named head volleyball coach at Iowa Mennonite School, and will lead the program in the fall of 2019.
Coach Boshart comes to the position having served 10 years in an assistant role in the IMS volleyball program.
Athletic director and principal Dwight Gingerich said 'we are thrilled to have Tanna move into this role. Tanna has been an enthusiastic and steady presence in the IMS program for a number of years, and is a trusted colleague and mentor. She cares deeply about our students and the volleyball program, does things the right way, and will do a great job developing our players, on and off the court. Tanna was a tremendous competitor as an athlete, and brings a keen understanding of how things work as an athlete, coach, and leader.”
Coach Boshart was a key contributor on the 2001 IMS state tourney team.
She is married to Tony Boshart and is the mother of four daughters.
Coach Boshart will be directing the IMS Volleyball Camp July 29-August 1. Information will be available soon on the IMS website at www.iowamennonite.org/camps.
Miller led IMS to a 19-15 record last season and was 15-14 the season previous. She leaves with a career recoprd at IMS of 65-91.
IMS tied for second in the Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division last year after finishing in a tie for first the previous year.
