IMS rallies past Danville for non-conference win
IMS rallied past Danville for an 8-5 non-conference victory on Friday night.
The Bears scored in both of the first two innings to take a 2-0 lead, and the game was tied 3-3 heading to the seventh inning, but IMS scored five runs in the final frame to get the win.

IMS rallied past Danville for an 8-5 non-conference victory on Friday night.
The Bears scored in both of the first two innings to take a 2-0 lead, and the game was tied 3-3 heading to the seventh inning, but IMS scored five runs in the final frame to get the win.
Sophomore Demi Brezina went 4-for-5 with a double, a triple and three RBIs to lead IMS (5-7), and senior Naomi Miller was 4-for-5 with a double. Junior Casey Perez went 3-for-4 with a duble and an RBI. Senior Keilah Brokaw had a triple and an RBI, and junior Jacayla Litwiller had a double and an RBI. Senior Laura Hochstetler and sophomore Riley Schmieder added hits for IMS, and sophomore McKayla Brush drove in a run.
Hochstetler gave up five runs, two of which were earned, on seven hits in the win. She struck out six batters and walked two.
