IMS' rally falls short at Winfield-Mt. Union

Winfield-Mt. Union jumped out to a 6-2 lead over visiting IMS after two innings of play in Tuesday?s Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division baseball game, and the Wolves held off IMS for a 7-5 win.
Senior Cameron Gingerich and sophomore Payton Miller both went 3-for-4 with a double to lead IMS (3-2, 3-2 SEISC North) at the plate, and Gingerich also drove in a run. Senior Aaron Ockenfels went 1-for-2 and drove in a run, while juniors Lane Schrock and Brent Brenneman each had an RBI. Juniors Dallas Nye and Tanner Leyden both added a hit for IMS.
Junior Reggie Hostetler took the loss. He allowed seven runs, six of which were earned, on five hits in six innings. He struck out seven batters and walked five.
