IMS shakes off the rust with a win at L-M
IMS struggled with rust and injuries in its first game after the holiday break on Friday night, but used a late surge to defeat Louisa-Muscatine 56-43.

IMS struggled with rust and injuries in its first game after the holiday break on Friday night, but used a late surge to defeat Louisa-Muscatine 56-43.
IMS (8-1, 8-1 SEISC North) failed to score over the first five minutes of the third quarter, and the Falcons (2-8, 2-7 SEISC North) closed to within two points. But IMS answered with a 15-5 run to take a 44-32 lead with six minutes remaining in the game.
?It was a battle and I was happy with how our guys responded when things didn?t look so good,? IMS head coach Dwight Gingerich said.
Senior Peyton Thompson hit four 3-pointers and scored 21 points to lead IMS. He also had six assists, five rebounds and four steals in the contest. Junior Dallas Nye, who left the game in the fourth quarter with a wrist injury, finished with 12 points, seven blocks and three assists. Senior Cameron Gingerich, who suffered an ankle injury in the second quarter, had nine points and five assists.
