IMS soccer falls to Mount Vernon at home
The IMS boys? soccer team took on a tough test on Tuesday afternoon, hosting Class 2A Mount Vernon.
IMS proved to be up to the test, but fell just short of knocking off Mount Vernon, falling 2-1 in the match.

The IMS boys? soccer team took on a tough test on Tuesday afternoon, hosting Class 2A Mount Vernon.
IMS proved to be up to the test, but fell just short of knocking off Mount Vernon, falling 2-1 in the match.
The loss moves IMS to 5-5, as they stay at 5-2 in conference play.
Mount Vernon scored six minutes into the game, but Cole Yoder was strong in net the rest of the way for IMS, making 13 saves in the contest, and helping to keep the score at 1-0 in the first half.
In the second half, Mount Vernon scored another quick goal, this time 14 minutes into the half, coming off a direct kick that was touched into the goal.
Down 2-0, IMS made a late charge to tie it up, and got one goal back as Jacob Boller found Jacob Schmieder for a goal.
In the final minutes, IMS had numerous opportunities, but couldn?t convert them into goals, falling in the contest.
IMS will face Danville on Thursday night.
