IMS wins at Lone Tree

IMS jumped out to a 3-0 lead after two innings of Monday?s Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division softball game at rival Lone Tree, and the visitors hung on for a 5-2 win.
Junior Casey Perez went 3-for-4 at the plate and scored two runs for IMS (6-9, 5-7 SEISC North), and senior Laura Hochstetler was 2-for-4. Senior Keilah Brokaw, junior Jacayla Litwiller and sophomore Demi Brezina each added a hit, and sophomore McKayla Brush drove in a run.
Hochstetler allowed just two runs on four hits in seven innings as she picked up the win. She struck out eight batters and walked four.
