Big Hollow Lake
Unsafe ice conditions. Not much for new ice formation, barely getting below freezing at night.

Hannen Lake
The lake has ice up to eight inches but caution should still be used if going out. Remember, minnows are not allowed here. Bluegill ? fair: fish along the bottom, preferably around brush, with a jig/waxie. Crappie ? fair: try fishing 15 feet and deeper water with jig/waxies or small spoon/waxie. Fish tend to be suspended five to 10 feet off the bottom.
Rodgers Park Lake
Ice conditions are unsafe.
Iowa Lake
There are six inches of good ice reported on much of the lake; however, the south end of the lake is open. Use caution if venturing out.
Kent Park Lake
The lower end of the lake has poor edges and some open water. There has not been fishing activity lately and fishing is not recommended.
Lake Macbride
There are large areas of open water, some areas that have crusted over the last two weeks, and the remaining ice is extremely variable. Ice fishing is not recommended.
Central Park Lake
The ice conditions are variable. Some shorelines have been open. Use extreme caution if venturing out.
Pleasant Creek Lake
There are some areas of open water along the dam and north shorelines. Other shorelines are poor. Exact ice conditions are not known but should be considered poor and extremely variable. Ice fishing is not recommended.
Diamond Lake
There is a lot of open water and ice fishing is not possible.
Otter Creek Lake
Shorelines are poor in many places and some open water mainly on the east shoreline. There is still reported fishable ice on the main lake, however, use caution if going out.
Union Grove Lake
The aeration system is turned on so caution should be used down towards the south end of the lake as the lower third of the lake is open or unsafe ice. The north end of the lake still has around 10 inches of ice in most areas.
Coralville Reservoir
The current lake level is 683 feet (normal level is 683 feet). There had been lots of open water around Macbride and Mehaffey Bridge that is now crusted over and the ice should be considered unsafe.
Iowa River (Coralville Lake to River Junction)
Current outflow from the Coralville Dam is 340 cubic feet per second. Flows are predicted to hold steady for the near future. The water is dirty. No fishing reports are available.
Prairie Park Fishery
There is some open water and the remaining ice is poor. Ice fishing is not recommended.
Sand Lake
Sand Lake in Iowa City had open water on the east end of the lake that is now crusted over. Ice fishing is not recommended.
Most areas south of Hwy. 30 are unsafe or at least have areas of unsafe ice. For more information, contact the Lake Macbride Fisheries Station at 319-624-3615.
Lake Wapello
Ice conditions have deteriorated and the ice is too thin to support anglers.
Red Haw Lake
Ice conditions have deteriorated and the ice is too thin to support anglers.
Albia (lower)
Ice conditions have deteriorated and the ice is too thin to support anglers.
Lake Sugema
Ice conditions have deteriorated and the ice is too thin to support anglers.
Rathbun Reservoir
The lake level is 903.17 feet with 904 feet being normal. Ice conditions have deteriorated and ice fishing is not recommended. The ice is too thin to support anglers. Don?t forget Lake Rathbun contains zebra mussels so make sure to clean, drain, and dry equipment before transporting to another water body.
