Iowa Girls Association names All-State teams
The Iowa Girls Association has announced its All-State and All-District softball teams.
Fairfield junior centerfielder Sydney Burnett was selected to the 4A All-State Second Team. Burnett batted .342, had 21 RBIs and stole 23 bases.
Cardinal senior catcher Lindsay Moore received 2A First Team All-State honors. Moore led her team with six home runs, 18 doubles and a .475 batting average.

Cardinal senior catcher Lindsay Moore received 2A First Team All-State honors. Moore led her team with six home runs, 18 doubles and a .475 batting average.
Cheyann Lankford of Pekin made the 2A Second Team. Lankford pitched and played shortstop. At the plate she batted .426 and drove in 25 runs. She also swiped 26 bases.
Maranda Baker from Pekin and Fairfield eighth grader Kenady Waugh received All-District honors. Waugh was the starting shortstop for the Trojans this season and batted .391.
