Iowa missing answer to meth
To the editor:
I was seriously wronged back in 1999 and 2000 by part of our local government. I was told the statute of limitations won?t allow me to sue. So I guess that?s water under the bridge.
Now I?ve got this question! Is everyone blind or what? I wrote a letter to our governor back in 2005 explaining how to stop meth and it would work.
Why is it these state representatives still allow pseudoephedrine ...

Why is it these state representatives still allow pseudoephedrine to be sold in pharmacies? About a week and a half ago there was an article about meth and the pills. One comment by one of the representatives was 100 percent of the pills bought went toward manufacturing meth. So why do they continue to spend tax money on this when they should be bringing it to a close.
Maybe they need a reason to keep things as they are. I say lay off all that needs laid off and then let meth heads out of prison to a new Iowa. An Iowa where that drug cannot be found.
I?m guessing between getting the meth heads out of prison and the layoffs it would probably save the taxpayers at least millions if not billions. Write your representative and tell him to bring it to a close. If not legalize it because if it can be controlled that means it can be legalized.
Now there is an out and out lie I want to touch on. That is this meth lab cleanup. The last I heard on the news it cost $600 for each cleanup. I?ll go anywhere in southeast Iowa and do the cleanup for $300, and that?s hiring a driver. You people are being robbed blind! $216,000 in cleanup according to the news and The Ledger article. How much is overkill. I?d say about $150,000, and I?m an ex-manufacturer I know.
It?s true meth does make you keep a clean house. I know some people who could use a little. I worry about my temple and it is clean! Meth also causes less drunkenness which is a good thing! How?s this for a lawsuit 2005 until now ignored!
