MILLINGTON, Tenn. — The Iowa Wesleyan baseball team continued its road trip to the Southeast over the weekend. The Tigers played Saint Xavier University, a Chicago area squad, and went 1-3.
The Tigers doubled up Saint Xavier in the first game, beating them 10-5 on Saturday. They dropped the next three in nail-biting fashion, going down 9-7 in the second game on Saturday and falling 8-7 and 3-0 on Sunday.
The Tiger baseball team is in the midst of over a month-long streak of playing road games. Iowa Wesleyan is scheduled for a whopping 34 road games before the home opener on March 23 against Culver Stockton.
Iowa Wesleyan is currently 1-7 on the season. They will be in Salina Kansas for a four-game series with Kansas Wesleyan University next weekend.
