On Monday, the Tiger men and women headed south to Fort Madison to compete for the Purple Cup against Waldorf University.
The teams played Ryder Cup-style, and the Tigers were able to win three of their pairings. Aubrey Duncan and Trace White were victorious in their pairing 9.5 to 8.5.
Michal Wohlleber and Kenny Tucker also won their pairing 9.5 to 8.5. Karli Kirchner and Brevin Wilson had an outstanding performance on the day, winning their pairing 12-6, the largest win on the day.
Despite the performances, the Tigers would fall just short of the Purple Cup as they were defeated 55-53 to the Warriors.
The Tigers will be back on the green on Tuesday, April 5 at the Clarke Invitational in Galena, Illinois.
