Iowa Wesleyan hosts IW Tiger Classic
Tiger women place 4th, men 6th and 11th at home tournament

Iowa Wesleyan hosted the annual IW Tiger Classic last Thursday at the Burlington Golf Club.
Last time around, the Tiger men's team won the IW Tiger Classic by two strokes over Knox College and were looking to defend their title. The women's team finished second in the tournament last year.
Aubrey Duncan and Michal Wohlleber led the Tiger women. Both finished tied for 6th with an 88. Sami Wibben was the next Tiger in 17th place with a 102. The fourth and final scorer for the Tigers was Natalie Ames in 19th place with a 104. The final Tiger woman was Keelee Razee in 24th place with a 124.
The Tigers finished 4th overall in the meet with a 382 team total. The IW Tiger Classic meet champion individually was Olivia Lange of William Penn University. She shot a 71 for a one under par day. The team champion was William Penn University with a 322 final score.
The Tiger men fielded two teams, both an A and B. The Tiger A team was led by Tate Nelson who finished tied for 8th with a 75. Brevin Wilson was the next Tiger finisher, tied for 24th, shooting an 81. Bailey Shelledy finished tied for 30th with an 82. Rounding out the Tigers' first team was Trace White and Brady Lukavsky. They both carded an 84, which tied them for 36th overall. The first team finished tied for 6th in the meet.
The second Tiger team was led by Colton Sherwood who finished tied for 36th with an 84. Kenny Tucker shot an 88, which placed him tied for 53rd. Nathan Cronkhite finished 60th with a 94. Jacob Boomer placed 65th with a final score of 105. The Tiger second team finished in 11th.
Individual champions were Jack Wilkie of Knox College and Corbin Borelli of Mount Mercy University at even par of 72. Knox College was the team meet champion at 10 over par with a 298 team score.
The Tiger women are back in action on Oct. 1-2 at the Knox Invite at Soangetaha Country Club in Galesburg, Illinois. The Tiger men will be back in action for their final fall meet at the Central Invite in Iowa City, Iowa, at Finkbine Golf Course on Oct. 3-4.
