Iowa Wesleyan to once again host Special Olympics

MT. PLEASANT - Iowa Wesleyan University will once against host the Special Olympics Southeast Iowa Spring Games this spring at Mapleleaf Athletic Complex in Mt. Pleasant.

The games will take place on Saturday, April 18. Registration for the event will begin at 9 a.m., with the opening ceremony beginning at 10 a.m., and the games kicking off at 10:30 p.m.

Returning this year will be Bobby Reid, who will skydive into the opening ceremonies with the American flag.

The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is looking for individuals, companies and organizations who would like to help by sponsoring the event.
