Iowa Wesleyan women 1st, men 2nd at Fighting Scot Invite
Duncan dominates for Tiger women, White gets 2nd for men

MONMOUTH, Ill. — It was quite the day for the Iowa Wesleyan golf teams as the Tigers finished 1st on the women’s side and second on the men’s side at the Fighting Scot Invite, hosted by Monmouth College.
The Tiger women had a historic Day 1 on Saturday. Iowa Wesleyan scored a 343, the best outing in the coaching career of head coach Curt Moon. The Tigers rolled on Day 2 with a 361, and won the overall team competition by 57 strokes.
Aubrey Duncan was unbelievable for the Tigers. The former Columbus Wildcat shot 12 over par, which won the meet by 20 strokes. Montmouth’s Amanda Stevens was a +32 for second.
Natalie Ames and Michal Wohlleber tied for fourth as +35. Sami Wibben tied for eighth with a +46, and Keelee Razee took 18th with a +115.
The Tiger men led by four strokes after Day 1, but a furious comeback from Knox College pitted the Tigers in second. Iowa Wesleyan shot 611 as a team, seven points behind Knox College’s 604.
Trace White and Brevin Wilson were a dynamic duo for the Tigers. The two former Mt. Pleasant Panther teammates tied for second at +7.
Brady Lukavsky finished tied for 10th with a +12. Tate Nelson tied for 16th, with a +17. Colton Sherwood shot +18 to finish in a tie for 19th.
