Iowa Wesleyan women fall to Knox College

MT. PLEASANT - The Knox College Prairie Fire brought the heat when they visted Iowa Wesleyan University for a women's basketball matchup on Monday night. Knox scored 53 first half points to down the Tigers 89-46.
IW was in a big whole early as the visiting team eclipsed 30 points in the first half. The Prairie Fiare forced eight Tiger turnovers and led 31-5 after the first quarter.
Eleven more IW turnovers in the second quarter led to even more Prairie Fire points. Knox led 53-14 at halftime.
The Tigers had a good third quarter, outscoring Knox 18-15. The Prairie Fire won the fourth quarter 21-14.
Allie Massner led IW with 13 points, six rebounds and three blocked shots. Morgan McCrea scored seven. Harriet Fowler had six. Maddie Williamson scored five.
Kieley Allen scored four points on the night. Deericka Martin had three ponits and four assists. Da'Jaah Swolley and Adriona Lindsey scored there points apiece, and Sydney Farrar had two.
IW is now 1-8 overall this season. They'll host Coe College tonight (Wednesday).
