Iowa Wesleyan women’s golf takes 3rd at conference meet

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. — The Iowa Wesleyan women’s golf team made some noise at the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament over the weekend. The Tigers finished third out of five teams with a final stroke total of 736.

The Tigers were remarkably consistent. They shot the exact same score on both days, going 368 on Day 1, and matching that total on Day 2.

Teresa Diez Dorta was the top Tiger. She finished tied for sixth with a 164, shooting 80 on Day 1, and 84 on Day 2. That landed her on the second-team All-Conference list.

Karli Kirchner shot a 185, placing her in 17th. Claire Hanson was right behind her, shooting 186 to take 18th. Michal Wohlleber tied for 21st with a final stroke total of 201.
