Iowa Wesleyan women’s soccer team eliminated

FULTON, Mo. — The 2021 spring soccer season ended Monday for the Iowa Wesleyan women’ team. The Tigers were defeated 4-0 at Westminster College in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference quarterfinals.
Westminster sent a steady stream of goals into the net. The Blue Jays scored two goals in the first 10 minutes and 25 seconds of the first half and then added two goals in the second. All four goals were scored by different players.
Kylie Mulhern-Guillier was busy in the net. She saved 12 of 17 shots on goal in 84:16 of net time. Renae Peterson finished the day with one save in 5:44.
The Iowa Wesleyan offense mustered just one shot on goal, coming off the foot of midfielder Abby Roberts.
The Tiger women’s soccer team ended the 2021 spring season 3-8 overall and 2-7 in SLIAC play. They’ll be back in action next fall.
