Iris Cartelsbadnews wins at Prairie Meadows
The horse pictured at left (No. 3), Iris Cartelsbadnews, won the Prairie Meadows 330-yard race in a time of 16.649 seconds on Aug. 24.
Warren Garrels of Mt. Pleasant owns the horse, and his family has been racing horses since the 1950s.
It?s far from the first race the horse has won, and Garrels is hoping to see a few more. He plans to enter Iris Cartelsbadnews in a few more races this year.
