IW cross-country runs at Cowbell Invite

ELSAH, Ill. - The Iowa Wesleyan cross-country teams ran their last race before the SLIAC championships on Saturday, taking on the 'Cowbell Invite” at Principia College.
Iowa Wesleyan finished eighth in both the men and women's competition, scoring 229 points in the men's and 208 in the women's.
The best result of the day once again went to freshman Sierra Howardson. Howardson finished 19th in the women's race, crossing the tape in 25:08.14.
Allison Morris finished 54th in the women's race. She crossed in 29:06.22.
Maggie Thomure placed 73rd, in 46:09.76. Joana Gonzalez was right behind her in 74th, with a time of 46:09.98, and Katie Martinez placed 75th, crossing in 48:39.82.
The Tiger men were led by Joel Amor, who finished 41st with a time of 29:21.23. Nathaniel Townsend placed 56th in 31:27.48. Matt Klunt was 72nd, in 35:13.34. Pedro Palomo finished 76th, in 36:30.77, and Oscar Martinez was 82nd, in 40:37.81.
The Tigers will run the SLIAC championship in Litchfield, Ill., on Sat, Oct. 27.
