The Tigers defeated Lincoln Christian by two

LINCOLN, Ill. — The Iowa Wesleyan Tigers men’s basketball team picked up a big win on the road over Lincoln Christian University on Tuesday, 77-75.
The Tiger’s Joey Brown had himself a career-best night on the scoring end, finishing with 36 points.
Lincoln Christian grabbed an early lead in the contest, but Iowa Wesleyan answered back stealing the lead back just over five minutes into the game.
The two threw jabs back and forth before the Tigers caught fire with just over three minutes to go in the first half, using an 18-4 run to take a 13 point lead. By halftime, Iowa Wesleyan held a 41-36 lead over the Red Lions.
In the second half, the Tigers worked to pull away, but the Red Lion’s stayed within striking distance. Iowa Wesleyan eventually lost its advantage and with three minutes to go it was Lincoln Christian’s game to lose with a 70-65 lead.
Iowa Wesleyan found the solution in Brown. The Tigers used a 12-5 run, 10 from Brown, to end the contest and pull out the win.
Along with Brown, Victor Munoz finished with nine points and seven rebounds. Marvin Bateman had seven points and five rebounds.
The Tigers had a great shooting night. Iowa Wesleyan shot a stellar 57% from the field.
