IW women drop road game

ANKENY -The Iowa Wesleyan women's soccer team fell 10-1 in its road contest at Faith Baptist Bible College on Monday evening.
The Eagles jumped on the Tigers early, tallying seven goals in the first half. They taked on three in the second. Lyndi Shepard and Abigail Speichinger each recorded hat tricks for Faith Baptist.
In the final seconds of the game, Emmy Rodriguez broke the scoreless streak for IW. She put one in off an assist from Sherrell Kent.
Ivet Rodriguez led the squad in shots and shots on goal, with four each.
Cheleena Squib played all 90 minutes in net. She saved six shots on the day.
The Tiger women are now 0-4-1 overall. They will host their SLIAC opener against Blackburn College on Saturday, Oct. 5.
