IW women receive first seed in CAC
Tigers hold the No. 1 seed heading into the CAC Tournament

MT. PLEASANT — The Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) announced the seeding for this years women’s basketball tournament on Tuesday.
For the second straight season, the Iowa Wesleyan women have earned the No. 1 seed.
Head coach Steve Williamson and the Tigers will be looking to repeat as back-to-back regular season and postseason CAC champions.
To open the tournament, the Tigers will take on No. 8 seeded Bacone College at 11:30 a.m. on Friday.
In the Tigers lone matchup with the Warriors during the regular season, they were winners 87-33.
The Tigers are lead by Isabell West with 17.9 points per game and 9.6 rebounds per game. Kyla Moore is right behind her with 14.6 points per game.
Breanna Wendland and Megan Teal both average over 10 points per game as well.
In the 2022 CAC Tournament, the Tigers shined with four players making the CAC All-Tournament Team.
Now assistant coach of the Tigers, Brittany West, was named the Most Outstanding Player of the tournament.
Maci Kutcha, Kyla Moore, and Breanna Wendland were named to the All-Tournament Team back in 2022.

#2 Haskell Indian Nations University vs. #7 Northern New Mexico University
#3 Washington Adventist University vs. #6 Florida National University
#4 Crowley's Ridge College vs. #5 Arkansas Baptist College
