FORT MADISON — The Iowa Wesleyan women’s golf team was just a few strokes away from winning its Spring Tiger Classic on Tuesday. The Tiger women finished second place, by four strokes. The men placed ninth.
The Tiger women shot 348 on the day, just off the mark of Waldorf University, which finished at 344. The Tigers defeated North Iowa Area Community College (384) and Simpson College (405).
Aubrey Duncan challenged for first place individually. She shot an 81 on the day, good enough to tie for the best score overall but she was bumped to second via tiebreaker rules.
