IWC hosts Jamboree

Iowa Wesleyan College is hosting a girls? basketball Jamboree tonight at Ruble Arena.

Twelve local teams are attending the event, and each team will play a half-game.

The IWC women?s basketball coach, Steve Williamson, will be at the games with his assistant, Anna Jones.

?We?ll be there watching ? we?ve recruited a few kids out of this in the past, but not a lot,? Williamson said.

However, the coach sees that changing in the future, as the move to NCAA Division III encourages coaches to recruit more high school students.

The schedule for the night is listed below. Henry County teams are bold, and the home team is listed first:

6 p.m. ? WACO vs. Holy Trinity

6:40 p.m. ? Danville vs. Winfield-Mt. Union

7:20 p.m. ? Mt. Pleasant vs. Mediapolis

8 p.m. ? New London vs. Wapello

8:40 p.m. ? Columbus vs. West Burlington

9:20 p.m. ? Louisa Muscatine vs. Harmony

There is an admission fee for attending the Jamboree.
