IWC men?s soccer team falls twice
The men's soccer team fell twice this past weekend. On Saturday, the Tigers hosted the AIB College of Business and dropped the match against the Eagles, 4-3, in a tense overtime battle.
Maxime Tefo scored two goals in the game for the Tigers, giving him a total of three on the year. Christopher Matthews also beat the Eagles' goalkeeper, increasing his team-high scoring to 14 goals on the season.

The men's soccer team fell twice this past weekend. On Saturday, the Tigers hosted the AIB College of Business and dropped the match against the Eagles, 4-3, in a tense overtime battle.
Maxime Tefo scored two goals in the game for the Tigers, giving him a total of three on the year. Christopher Matthews also beat the Eagles' goalkeeper, increasing his team-high scoring to 14 goals on the season.
Dennis Palacios recorded the assist on Tefo's first goal, which came just over seven minutes into the game. Michael Fagundas got the assists on the next two Tigers' goals, the last goal coming in the 62nd minute.
In overtime, things got tense as the Tigers received three cards in the short overtime period. In all the Tigers were handed seven yellow cards in the game. Two Tigers received red cards after getting their second yellow card of the game. The Tigers couldn't overcome the penalties as the Eagles kept the pressure up and found the back of the net for the game-winning overtime goal.
On Sunday, the Tigers fell, 1-0, to the Fontbonne University Griffins. It was a defensive battle as the game was scoreless in the first half.
The Griffins then struck in the 62nd minute for the only goal of the game. Tigers' goalkeeper Brett Broderson made nine saves in the net for the Tigers against the Griffins.
