IWC swept in MCC opener despite McVey?s efforts on offense
The IWC volleyball team improved in each game, but it was not enough to get a win as the Tigers were swept by Grand View University in the Midwest Collegiate Conference opener for both teams Wednesday night.
The Tigers dropped three games straight by scores of 25-9, 25-18 and 25-19.
Megan McVey controlled the IWC offense with 16 of the team?s 24 kills, and she served the team?s only ace.

The IWC volleyball team improved in each game, but it was not enough to get a win as the Tigers were swept by Grand View University in the Midwest Collegiate Conference opener for both teams Wednesday night.
The Tigers dropped three games straight by scores of 25-9, 25-18 and 25-19.
Megan McVey controlled the IWC offense with 16 of the team?s 24 kills, and she served the team?s only ace.
With 16 digs, McVey was tied for the team?s top spot in that category.
Alex Ramos also had 16 digs, as well as 19 assists.
The Tigers did not register a block.
IWC is now 1-5 overall and 0-1 in the MCC.
The Tigers play this weekend at the Grinnell College Tournament on Friday and Saturday, beginning with a match Friday night against Westminster (Mo.) College at 8 p.m.
