The Iowa Wesleyan College volleyball program will be hosting a volleyball camp in August for girls entering grades 5-12.
Registrations are now being accepted for separate camps for girls entering grades 5-8 and grades 9-12, both to take place June 20-24 on campus at Ruble Arena in the Howe Student Activity Center. A camp for grades 9-12 will take place from 8-11:30 a.m., with a camp for grades 5-8 from 1-3:30 p.m. The camps will be led by IWC head volleyball coach Jill Blake.
The camp will focus on fundamentals of volleyball by doing repetitive drills to improve volleyball skills. According to Coach Blake the camp is designed for campers to learn the basic fundamentals of volleyball, to help them become a better volleyball player, and most importantly to have fun in a competitive atmosphere. Each player will also play in league game each day, and various contests will be held throughout the week.
There is a cost for the camp and registrations are due by June 13. For more information on the camp contact Coach Blake at (319) 795-3784 or by email at jill.blake@iwc.edu.
