The Webster University volleyball team wasn?t sure how to get here, but they certainly knew what they were doing once they got on the court, sweeping the Tigers in three sets by scores of 25-21, 25-19 and 25-14.
The visitors? bus made a wrong turn on the way from St. Louis to Mt. Pleasant, pushing the match?s start time back by about an hour.
IWC took an early lead in the first set and held on until late in the game, but the Gorlocks made a surge at the end to claim a win.
The St. Louis Intercollegiate Conference?s top-ranked team went on to take the next two sets as well, defeating the Tigers in their first conference game of the season.
IWC is now 1-8 overall and 0-1 in the conference, and Webster moves up to 5-2 and 1-0 in the conference.

Next up for the Tigers is the conference quad tournament, which they are hosting at Ruble Arena on Saturday. IWC will play Blackburn College at 10 a.m. and MacMurray College at 12 p.m.
