Joel P. Garnier, 38, of Appleton, Wis., died Monday afternoon, April 2, 2012, at home.
A sharing of memories will take place at 2 p.m. Friday at Wichmann Funeral Home in Appleton, Wis.
Visitation, with the family, will be from 1-2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Joel P. Garnier, 38, of Appleton, Wis., died Monday afternoon, April 2, 2012, at home.

Mr. Garnier was born April 12, 1973, in Wausau, Wis., the son of Charles and Carolyn Sims Garnier.
During Mr. Garnier?s younger years, he lived in Fairfield with his mother. He moved to Appleton, Wis., for high school and graduated from Appleton West High School in 1991. He attended University of Wisconsin and went on to study art at University of Arizona in Prescott and Tucson, Ariz. He lived in the Fox Valley the last six years with his father.
Mr. Garnier?s interests included music, art, playing the guitar and drums, producing and recording with other musicians, sports cars, glass blowing and traveling.
Survivors include his father of Menasha, Wis.; two sisters: Katy Garnier and husband Jay Van Buren and Betsy Bundy and husband Trevor, both of Brooklyn, N.Y.; one stepsister: Markley Weyenberg of Appleton; and one stepbrother: William Weyenberg of Appleton.
He was preceded in death by his mother and one sister: Anna Meers.
