Josephine Messer Thomas, 80, of Fairfield, died Monday, Sept. 14, 2009, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.
A graveside memorial service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield, with the Rev. Len Maselli officiating. The body has been cremated.
Memorials may be made to a charity of donor?s choice.

Mrs. Thomas was born July 30, 1929, in Brookville, the daughter of Basil and Addie Jenks Messer. She married Clifford Thomas June 24, 1949, in Iowa City. He died Oct. 6, 2008.
